Yingweida CEO Huang Renxun In an interview yesterday, it was revealed that even though the United States imposed a new ban on mainland China, the global AI chip market demand was still strong TSMC President Wei Zhejia met to discuss providing more production capacity to serve customers. Nvidia is planning the next generation of chips for AI infrastructure and other applications. This time, we also met with Quanta, Asus and other partners in Taiwan to discuss cooperation strategies.
Huang Renxun's talk of "AI chip market demand is still very strong" boosted market confidence. AI concept stocks generally walked out of the previous day's heavy losses yesterday, and Wistron turned red from black, rising 0.7 yuan to 91.7 yuan at the end; Weiying, Qixuan, Shuanghong, etc. also received red. Quanta once rushed to above the level in the middle of the session. Although it ended up black, it only slightly dropped 1 yuan to 208.5 yuan.
Huang Renxun attended the Hon Hai Science and Technology Day on the 18th, and appeared with General Manager Cai Zhi'an of Inventec yesterday. He mentioned that he had met with Inventec, Quanta, Asus, Gigabyte, Hon Hai and other partners, and had dinner with the founder Zhang Zhongmou and his wife Zhang Shufen, and praised the craftsmanship of Zhang Zhongmou. Wherever he visited Taiwan, whether public or private, he continued to be the focus of attention. He said that he hoped to visit Taiwan twice a year as much as possible. This time, his trip was expected to end on Saturday morning.
The United States proposed a new ban on chip exports to the mainland. Huang Renxun responded that he was getting to know the relevant regulations as soon as possible and had been discussing with the company team all night. This would certainly have an impact on the mainland market and industry, but he agreed that the national security issue was really important, and Nvidia would follow the relevant regulations of the United States government. On this basis, we hope to have as large a market as possible, and will try to support the needs of various markets, as well as customers in the mainland market.
As for whether the new ban in the United States might cause Nvidia to lose its share of the mainland market, Huang Renxun stressed that all companies must try their best to win business. All businesses are hard won. Now, facing more challenges, they must do their best. Nvidia will continue to create the best products. There are many good local technology manufacturers in China, such as Huawei. Nvidia must also strive to compete with local industries and observe the results.
Nvidia's main manufacturers are actively shipping. The H100 series and L40S architecture series inferential AI server products of Inventec AI server will be shipped in the first quarter of next year at the earliest, and the shipment will be gradually expanded. Quanta AI server takes the complete machine cabinet equipped with Nvidia H100 as the main shipping item, and is expected to enter mass production this quarter.
Quanta has announced that it will upgrade the growth rate of AI server product revenue this year from the annual single digit growth rate to double digit growth rate. Wistron's outlook on the supply chain of its AI servers will continue to grow month by month and quarter by quarter in the second half of the year.
