Shanghai, Guangzhou! Domestic large aircraft C919 adds new routes

Today (June 14), China Eastern Airlines' first C919 passenger plane, B-919A, flew to Guangzhou Baiyun Airport from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport with 162 passengers at 09:37, which marked the official opening of the fourth commercial scheduled route of C919.

According to the current flight plan, China Eastern Airlines C919 will run two round-trip flights on the Shanghai Hongqiao Guangzhou Baiyun route every day. Flight MU5309 departs from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport at 9:30 a.m. and arrives in Guangzhou at 11:55 a.m; The return flight MU5316 left Guangzhou at 13:30 and arrived in Shanghai at 16:00 sharp. At present, the number of "Shanghai Guangzhou Express" flights that China Eastern Airlines focuses on building has reached 36 flights per day (round-trip), with an average of one flight per hour, one flight every half hour during peak hours, and more than 150000 passengers per month.

This time, the C919 took the flight to Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Xi'an, realizing the commercial operation of the domestic large aircraft C919 to key large-scale aviation hubs in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Xi'an. It will not only facilitate more passengers, business people, and Chinese and foreign tourists to experience the domestic large aircraft, but also attract young people and student groups to "punch in" C919 in the upcoming summer rush season.

At present, China Eastern Airlines has a fleet of six C919 aircraft, including Shanghai Hongqiao - Beijing Daxing, Shanghai Hongqiao - Chengdu Tianfu, and Shanghai Hongqiao - Xi'an Xianyang. The daily utilization rate of aircraft is constantly improving. It is reported that China Eastern Airlines will continue to receive C919 passenger aircraft as planned this year.
