On May 22, 2024, the second Zhan Tianyou Class Work Steering Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Committee") meeting was held in the Red Orchard Academic Exchange Center of our school. Cai Qinghua, former vice minister of the Ministry of Railways, founding director of Zhan Tianyou Foundation, honorary director of the first committee, Ma Fuhai, vice chairman and secretary-general of Zhan Tianyou Foundation, Qian Zhengyu and Zhao Yan, deputy secretary-generals, Wang Jiaqiong, secretary of the Party Committee of our university, Gao Yan, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and vice president, Southwest Jiaotong University, Central South University, East China Jiaotong University, Lanzhou Jiaotong University, Dalian Jiaotong University Leaders of Shijiazhuang Railway University and the head of Zhan Tianyou class attended the meeting. Ma Fuhai presided over the meeting.

The meeting announced the establishment and composition list of the second committee. Cai Qinghua was the honorary director of the second committee, and Wang Jiaqiong was the rotating director of the second committee. The meeting considered and adopted the relevant working rules and management measures of the Committee.

Cai Qinghua made a detailed introduction to the origin and development of Zhan Tianyou class. He pointed out that youth is the future of the motherland and the hope of the nation. Zhan Tianyou Foundation actively promotes the high-quality development of all work of Zhan Tianyou Class, and constantly explores new channels for reform and innovation of Zhan Tianyou Class from management, resources, models and other aspects. He said that as the honorary director of the second session of the Committee, he would continue to give play to the waste heat, make contributions, and go all out to help Zhan Tianyou class work to a new level.

Qian Ming, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of China Railway Group and Chairman of Zhan Tianyou Foundation, delivered a written speech. He fully affirmed the important role played by colleges and universities in basic research, tackling major scientific and technological problems, absorbing and introducing projects, and cultivating scientific and technological talents in the process of China's railway development, and said that Zhan Tianyou's class is the "cradle" of excellent reserves for the railway industry and the "pool" of talents. Students of Zhan Tianyou's class in colleges and universities should be deeply rooted in the feelings of caring for the motherland and serving the people's family and country, Inherit and carry forward the spirit of Zhan Tianyou and the spirit of scientists in the new era, and actively participate in the great cause of building a transportation power.

Wang Jiaqiong briefly reviewed the development process of Zhan Tianyou Class in our university. As the first university in China to set up Zhan Tianyou Class, Beijing Jiaotong University gave full play to the role of a high-level tutor team and an off campus talent training base, relying on its advantageous specialties to train 35 classes of students successively, and transported a large number of talents for railway related industries. As the rotating director of the second committee, Wang Jiaqiong said that he would conscientiously perform his duties, further expand resources and pool strength, continue to deepen the close relationship between universities and industry enterprises, strengthen inter school exchanges between brother universities, carry out the work of the committee in high quality, and continue to build Zhan Tianyou's class better, Cultivate more reserve forces for the high-quality development of China's railway industry.

Ma Fuhai said that in recent years, Zhan Tianyou Foundation has given full play to the advantages of platform, hub and open science and technology associations, coordinated the high-quality resource platform of industry university research cooperation, and actively served to promote the self-reliance of railway science and technology. Zhan Tianyou Foundation will continue to give full play to its platform and resource advantages to support innovative talent training and help improve the quality of independent talent training in an all-round way.

The participating universities respectively introduced the school running concept, specialty setting, construction and school running characteristics of Zhan Tianyou Class, and said that they would continue to take the opportunity of the establishment of Zhan Tianyou Class and the selection of Zhan Tianyou Scholarship to cultivate top-notch innovative talents with both ability and integrity, and make new and greater contributions to the development of rail transit in China.
