On the afternoon of May 22, 2024, the donation ceremony of "Education Development Fund of School of System Science, Beijing Jiaotong University" was held in Room 612, Siyuan Building. Bo Shanglang, Assistant Secretary General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, and Guan Zhongliang, Vice President of our school attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Guo Xuemeng, director of the Foreign Liaison and Cooperation Department and secretary general of the Education Foundation.

The Education Development Fund was launched by Bo Shanglang in his own name to support the construction and development of the School of System Science. On behalf of the school, Guan Zhongliang thanked Bo Shanglang for his support for the development of school education and introduced the current development situation of Jiaotong University. He said that the development of the school cannot be separated from the support of all sectors of society. The establishment of the Education Development Fund will help deepen cooperation with ASEAN countries on the basis of the strategy of strengthening education, train more high-end railway management talents, and promote the common development of the world economy and society.

Bo Shanglang said that ASEAN is currently China's largest trading partner, and Beijing Jiaotong University is a destination for training transportation talents. It is hoped that the establishment of this education development fund can provide assistance for the scientific and technological innovation and teacher talent construction of the School of System Science of Beijing Jiaotong University, develop and innovate the academic philosophy, inherit the culture of thinking of the source when drinking water, and encourage all sectors of society to pay more attention to the development of education.

As the alma mater of Bo Shanglang, Professor Liu Hong, the associate vice president of Singapore Nanyang Technological University and the dean of Nanyang Graduate School of Public Management, attended the ceremony. He briefly introduced the history of Nanyang Technological University, hoping to promote more cooperation and exchanges with Jiaotong University and achieve win-win cooperation through the establishment of this education development fund. The participants held an exchange discussion around the construction plan of the Education Development Fund.

Guan Zhongliang and Bo Shanglang signed the donation agreement on behalf of both parties. Guan Zhongliang, Bo Shanglang and Liu Hong presented souvenirs to each other.

Ran Jiangtao, assistant of Mr. Bo Shanglang, Fan Xin, PhD, Graduate School of Public Management, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and relevant principals of School of System Science, School of International Education, International Cooperation and Exchange Office, and School of Economics and Management attended the ceremony.
