On May 12 local time, in a small village with 125 families and more than 500 people, about 60 kilometers south of Phnom Penh, the chairman of the Cambodian Civil Society Organizations Alliance Forum, Gary Vichy, waved a shovel to add mud, and Liu Zhanguo, director of the China Peace and Development Foundation's Cambodia office, watered the pot, and worked together to plant a Longdu flower tree, a symbol of China Cambodia friendship.
"The Longdu flower is Cambodia's national flower. This Longdu flower tree will grow luxuriantly in the future, and its roots will be deep. The people to people and cultural exchanges between Cambodia and China will be fruitful." A local official told the China News Agency reporter next to the newly cultivated Longdu flower tree nursery.

Dalong Village, Bati County, Chajiao Province, Cambodia is a model village for China Cambodia friendship and poverty alleviation. On the same day, the China Foundation for Peace and Development and the Cambodian Civil Society Organizations Alliance Forum held a handover ceremony for the completion of the villagers' activity center here. Several old people born and raised in Sri Lanka also attended the ceremony to witness the major changes taking place in the village.
The beautiful village activity center is located in the central area of the village, facing the road, and the passing people and vehicles can't help turning around and watching. Sun Hai, chairman of the Development Committee of Dalong Village, said that the Villagers' Activity Center has two floors, which can carry the daily worship of Buddha, celebrate major festivals, hold cultural exchange activities, hold villagers' meetings, and set up skills training workshops for local villagers.
It is understood that the China Cambodia Friendship Poverty Alleviation Demonstration Village Project is funded by the Chinese side with 10 million yuan. At present, projects such as the construction of rural roads, the provision of clean drinking water, the construction of villagers' activity centers, the donation of transportation tools, and the development of aquaculture and planting have been completed. In the surrounding area of Dalong Village, many Chinese funded enterprises have brought jobs to local villagers.
