The trustless assault rifle is a new type of weapon that represents "a major change in assault rifles". FN F2000, manufactured by FN Company of Belgium, is a compact 5.56mm bolsterless rifle with a scientific and technological appearance. A large number of plastic parts are used in the gun body. The gun adopts a short stroke piston transmission system that can adjust the gas flow, so that the gun can switch freely between semi-automatic mode and full-automatic mode.

After firing, the rocker arm system of the gun will fix the empty cartridge case, and make a reverse action to lift the cartridge case up to make way for the supply line of the next bullet. It is this rocker arm system that solves the problem of left and right shell throwing of the bolsterless rifle. There is also a distance correction button on the top of the frame seat of the fire control system, which is capable of programming. It can match six types of 40mm grenades, and can be programmed to adapt to future improved ammunition.

Although the F2000 with its own fire control system is relatively advanced, its sales in the international market are flat due to its high price, heavy weight and pickiness about bullets.

Many shooters are more sensitive to the trunnion rifle because the casing and chamber are placed close to the cheek. However, the SAR-21 developed by Singapore has adopted a patented safety device to prevent shooters from being injured in small probability events such as shell explosion or bore explosion. The first component of its safety system is a die forged alloy steel plate, which is placed directly below the cheek to protect the shooter's face. The second component is to open a vent hole on the joint sleeve, which can guide the propellant gas to be discharged from it and keep it away from the shooter's face in the event of primer explosion or shell explosion. This well-designed safety system basically eliminates the potential safety hazard of self injury.

The SAR-21 gas regulator can be adjusted without tools. Just lift the gas regulator out and rotate the adjustment knob to adjust. The head is a traditional rotary structure. Two locking lugs lock the locking groove of the joint sleeve, so the stress on the casing is minimal.

However, the firing rate of the gun is relatively slow among similar guns, which affects its sales in the international market.

Iran's KH-2002 assault rifle was developed in 2003 and first made public appearance in October 2004.

KH-2002 adopts the modular structure design concept, and the barrel length can be converted into standard assault rifles, short barrel assault rifles and long barrel precision shooting rifles by changing the barrel, which makes its application scope more extensive.

KH-2002 can be flexibly adjusted according to different mission requirements and combat environments. It has strong lethality in medium and long range shooting, and can be matched with bipod and bayonet, increasing its tactical flexibility and practicality.
