After the meeting, Chairman Bauer of the NATO Military Commission said that the meeting discussed how to implement the new defense plan adopted by the NATO Vilnius Summit and other issues, and the preliminary work on the integration and interconnection of the plan with the national defense plans of member countries has been completed.

Bauer made the above remarks at the press conference jointly held with NATO's European Allied Forces Commander in Chief Kavoli after the meeting. Cavalli said that the new defense plan provides the necessary framework for advancing the modernization of NATO's collective defense system, and NATO is still testing this plan by taking the opportunity of the "Firm Defender 2024" military exercise.

It is reported that the work of NATO in promoting the new defense plan includes more troops entering a higher level of alert, improving logistics and supply and other support capabilities, and conducting more joint exercises and training.

The "Firm Defender 2024" military exercise was launched on January 24 this year and will last until May 31. About 90000 soldiers participated in this "NATO's largest military exercise in decades".
