As part of the "Firm Defender 2024" military exercise, NATO member countries conducted a parachute airborne exercise in Estonia, adjacent to Russia, from May 11 to 12.

It is reported that the exercise was held not far from the Russian border, and 142 British and American soldiers participated in the exercise in the Nurmsi region of Estonia.

At present, NATO military exercises called "Firm Defender 2024" are ongoing in many European countries. The exercise, consisting of a series of separate exercises, was launched in late January this year and will last until the end of May. About 90000 soldiers will participate in the exercise, which extends to the eastern wing of NATO and close to the Russian border.

In this regard, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zaharova said earlier that the NATO general's performance was chosen near the Russian border, and made no secret that he would exercise the so-called "contain the Russian threat" action, which reflects the intention of NATO countries to deliberately provoke Russia and hope for the escalation of the situation.
