This is where you can download the source code for WordPress core, plugins and themes as well as the central location for community conversations and organization.https://wordpress.org/. The updated site launched today. Congratulations to everyone involved in this effort.
In addition to standardizing the structure, fonts, spacing, and colors, the Forums homepage now matches the layout of the newly redesignedDeveloper Resourcessection, improving consistency within the Learn section of the site.
This refresh is not a complete redesign, and there is still work to be done. Rather, it’s intended to be a quick iteration to set the stage for future improvements. You can view the completeredesign proposalin Figma and the current developmentproject boardfor Forums inGitHubGitHubGitHub is a website that offers online implementation of git repositories that can easily be shared, copied and modified by other developers. Public repositories are free to host, private repositories require a paid subscription. GitHub introduced the concept of the ‘pull request’ where code changes done in branches by contributors can be reviewed and discussed before being merged be the repository owner.https://github.com/.
The forums on non-English sites (Rosetta sites) will not change as part of this update. Polyglots mentors can contact the#metaSlackSlackSlack is a Collaborative Group Chat Platformhttps://slack.com/. The WordPress community has its own Slack Channel athttps://make.wordpress.org/chat/.channel to switch to the new theme. Some translation work will need to be done and that can be managed in theForumsproject. The goal is to have all Rosetta sites switched over by July 1, 2024.
