Win11 epic update is coming! Microsoft finally admits Wi Fi 7

Windows 11 24H2 will support Wi Fi 7 hardware for the first time, which is Microsoft's next major operating system update. Although there are already devices on the market that support Wi Fi 7, this function is not available on the current version of Windows.

Wi Fi 7 (according to IEEE 802.11be standard) has a very high throughput rate, nearly four times faster than Wi Fi 6E, with a theoretical peak of 46Gbps, while Wi Fi 6E can reach 9.6Gbps. In addition, it has lower latency, better reliability, and lower power consumption.

Because of low latency, games and video conferencing will be faster, with better performance and responsiveness. The first batch of Windows computers that support Wi Fi 7 include Dell XPS 14. Before the Windows 11 24H2 version was updated, users could not take full advantage of its faster speed.

It is worth mentioning that Windows 11 24H2 will also be the first official version of Windows that supports the USB4 v2.0 standard (i.e. 80Gbps rate). The new USB4 2.0 standard can provide a transmission speed of up to 80Gbps, significantly improving the speed compared with the USB4 and Thunderbolt 4.
