At the press conference, Sun Jie introduced that the English abbreviation of the event is DA-FUTURE, D is Design, A is Award, and the abbreviation of the letter combination of DA is exactly the same as the Chinese pronunciation of "big". DA-FUTURE is also the meaning of "big future". As the first academic and professional activity in Asia based on the International Bay Area and focusing on sustainable design, the "International Bay Area Sustainable Design DA-FUTURE 2022" aims to base itself on China, face the world, explore outstanding works of original design and entrepreneurship around the current and future lifestyles, and encourage cross-border integration, Encourage new and forward-looking innovative design schemes.

The activity set up two groups: industry group and concept group. The industry group refers to projects that have been put into the market or landed, and the concept group refers to projects or concept designs that have not been released or put into the market and landed. It is divided into six segments: sustainable society segment, sustainable wisdom segment, sustainable borderless segment, sustainable fashion segment, sustainable life segment, and sustainable intangible cultural heritage segment.
