On September 2, the main works of Zhuhai Central Grain Depot (Phase II) Project with an investment of 900 million yuan and a warehouse capacity of 180000 tons officially started. It is reported that the construction period of the project is 20 months. After completion, the total capacity of Zhuhai Central Grain Warehouse will reach 220000 tons, together with the existing 40000 tons of warehouse capacity in Phase I.

Zhuhai strictly implemented the relevant requirements of the state and the province on the construction of grain storage and storage facilities, and decided to build a second phase project with a storage capacity of 180000 tons on the basis of the 40000 tons storage capacity of Zhuhai Central Grain Depot (Phase I).

According to reports, the Zhuhai Central Grain Depot (Phase II) Project has a total investment of 900 million yuan, a total land area of 72506.68 square meters, and a total building area of 78167.79 square meters. It is divided into two functional areas: the storage area and the processing area. It mainly includes 18 squat silos with a diameter of 23 meters and a height of 36.3 meters, 16 vertical silos with a diameter of 12 meters and a height of 49.8 meters, and two bulk bungalows with a span of 21 meters and a height of 13.3 meters, The total storage capacity is 181800 tons. In addition, there is one flour emergency workshop with a capacity of 600 tons/day, two rice emergency processing workshops with a capacity of 300 tons/day, and auxiliary finished product workshops, drying workshops, supporting rooms, etc. According to the requirements of the construction contract with a duration of 20 months, the project will be delivered for use in June 2023.
