On June 2, the opening ceremony of the 2024 "FAW Liberation" Asian Badminton Elite Tour (Jilin Liaoyuan Station) was held in the stadium of Liaoyuan Vocational and Technical College.

The competition set up six matches in three major events, namely, star challenge, star match and star confrontation. Six star players competed with 10 amateur badminton experts who stood out in the final. The flexible tactics and fast attack and defense rhythm dazzled the audience. The enthusiastic audience cheered for it, and the fierce competition won applause and cheers from the audience. Finally, in the Star Challenge, star player Li Longda defeated Liaoyuan native earth king Jing Ming and Zheng Yunlong, ending the whole game.
Zhang Nan, the mixed doubles champion of the London 2012 Olympic Games and the men's doubles champion of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, said: "I am very happy to come to Liaoyuan to participate in this Asian Badminton Elite Tour, which is also the first stop of this year's Asian Badminton Elite Tour. After the game, six star players, Zhang Nan, Li Longda, Xu Chen, Li Junhui, Tang Jinhua and Ye Peiyan, came to Yuedong Liaoyuan Joy Fair to interact with tourists and promote the scenic spot.
