  • This book is written by Caroline T Brown (Bao Kailin) uses Jung's psychoanalysis theory to interpret Lu Xun's important research achievements. Different from the previous academic works, the author takes the text structure as the central path to access Lu Xun's thoughts, and takes Jung's theory as the command to focus on the concept of "healing" in "Scream" and "Wandering". These two collections of novels not only provide a series of key textual images and archetypes, but also have a number of related "scapegoats" and "martyrs" characters in famous novels such as "True Story of Ah Q" and "Medicine". From the identity of these archetypes and characters, Brown cut into the inner texture of Lu Xun's works and examined the deep structure of the id ego superego paradigm. Through this model, we can not only see Lu Xun's understanding of human and human nature, but also more deeply understand Lu Xun's attitude to the current situation of the world, his personal spirit and his family and country feelings. 1.
