In our work, we often encounter a large number of identical data in two Excel tables, but we don't know how to match and find the same content. If the same content is merged and a table is simplified into a table, it must reduce a lot of working time, improve work efficiency, and achieve twice the result with half the effort.
Operation method
As shown in the figure, first find two data tables.
How to map the data in Table 1 to the data in only one column in Table 2 requires first considering whether the name of the first column corresponds, and second considering whether the number corresponds, so two VLOOKUP functions need to be written.
The first step is to insert two blank columns on the left side of the first column of Table 2 to quickly find the required function, as shown in the figure:
First, consider whether the names of the first column correspond, and write the function=VLOOKUP (C3, Table 1! A: A, 1, FALSE), as shown in the figure:
The second is to consider whether the numbers correspond, so we need to write the second VLOOKUP function=VLOOKUP (C3, Table 1! A: B, 2,0), as shown in the figure:
