1. Guizhou University of Finance and Economics is located in Guiyang, Guizhou Province. It is a university of finance and economics with economics and management as the main body, law, philosophy, literature, education, art, science, engineering and other disciplines developing in harmony. It is a key economic management talent training base in Guizhou Province built by the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee and the provincial government, It has been selected as the major construction project of first-class universities in Guizhou Province, the first-class platform construction (cultivation) project of first-class universities in Guizhou Province, and the second batch of demonstration universities in deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform in China.
2. The school was founded in 1958, formerly known as Guizhou University of Finance and Economics. It was merged with Guizhou Planning Management Cadre School in 1992, renamed Guizhou University of Finance and Economics in 2012 with the approval of the Ministry of Education, and was added as a doctoral degree awarding unit in 2018.
