Since the Ram 1500 TRX is equipped with a 6.2 liter supercharged Hellcat V8 that outputs 702 horsepower and 650 lb ft of torque, everyone has focused on the new Ford F-150 Raptor. The next generation Ford F-150 Raptor will debut on February 3 in just a few weeks.
In the current model, the unit can produce 450 hp and 510 lb ft of torque, but we expect the power of the new unit to be about 500 hp. But what about the long rumored V8 version? It is said that this version will use the same supercharged V8 as the Mustang Shelby GT500 to replace TRX.
Although the V8 variant is not shown in the leaked order guide, this does not mean that it will not be provided. We have heard the new F-150 Raptor prototype roar with the clear voice of V8. The report also claims that the more powerful V8 will become one of the two engine options, as well as the more affordable V6 to adapt to different budgets and requirements. Since it is not in the ordering guide, the V8 powered Raptor may arrive later, but Ford does not want Ram to steal all the spotlight for a long time.
