BMW launched the new M3 sedan and M4 Coupe (the predecessor of M3 Coupe) before its debut at the Detroit Auto Show next month. M3 has now entered the fifth generation. Coup é and Saloon models have won separate model names for the first time, which is different from the different model series that provide the basis for them.
 For the first time, the new 3.0-litre six cylinder in-line engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology has replaced the naturally aspirated V8.
 This new dual turbocharged 3.0L gasoline engine provides 425bhp and 550Nm of torque in both new M-type vehicles
 Compared with the model to be launched soon, the new M3 and M4 are both 80kg lighter, thanks to the widespread use of lightweight materials. Both models now feature a carbon fiber reinforced plastic roof. The new roof is 6 kg lighter, the center of gravity of the vehicle is lowered, and the driving dynamics are improved.
 The standard six speed manual transmission has a new throttle brightening function, which is more compact and 12kg lighter than the previous product, thus greatly reducing the weight.
 The weight of the new M4 Coupe with manual transmission is 1497kg. Although the car specifications have not been released, we hope that its weight is very similar, because the performance specifications of the two models are the same.
 The speed of these two vehicles in manual mode is 0-62 mph, 4.3 seconds, while the speed of the optional 7-speed M DCT is 4.1 seconds. In electronic mode, the maximum speed is limited to 155 mph, and the average fuel economy is 34 mpg.
 The front end of these two cars is very similar, while the rear has different appearance. The BMW M3 Saloon is equipped with a lip shaped spoiler to reduce lift, while the BMW M4Coup é rear baffle has an integrated carbon fiber rear spoiler.
