When the operating system game controller first started, I at least doubted this. Most iOS games have good touch control. Personally, I don't find virtual buttons as bad. However, using the steel series Stratus has changed my view and improved the experience of many iOS games.
 Once in your hands, Stratus has a strange feeling. This device is very small, which means that those who are extravagant may find it difficult to use it effectively, but at the same time, they feel incredibly good and solid. The provided cover can be buckled on the front to protect the button from being snapped to the back during travel, to increase the size of the device, which makes it easier to manage.
 On Stratus, there are four face buttons, two simulation sticks, one D pad and four shoulder buttons, as well as a pause button and a synchronization button. D pad is very reminiscent of the one found on the first 360 controller; It is not easy to use, perhaps the most dissatisfied with all the buttons pressed. The shoulder buttons have an interesting design: two are long and thin, and the other two are short and wide. They may not be difficult to press or touch, but it is very common for those of us who use sausage fingers to press two people at the same time.
 The face button is well spaced and feels responsive to pressing, while the analog stick is quite small, but still manages to be satisfied. They do have quite high resistance and are very close, which may not be suitable for some. It is worth noting that in our review unit, the correct dummy stick has a grip slightly out of position, which makes it have a convex edge on the right stick.
 Connecting the controller to your iOS device is as simple as connecting to any other Bluetooth device. Just open the Bluetooth option on your iPhone/iPad, click the sync button on Stratus and select the controller. Fortunately, the connection is remembered, so when you open Stratus, it should be automatically connected initially. I do have some problems connecting to my iPhone 6Plus, but I think it depends more on the user's incompetence than on the hardware.
 Four LEDs appear in front of Stratus and show some things, which player you are (obviously four controllers can be connected at the same time), and the charging level of the controller. According to the steel series, Stratus has a battery life of 10 hours. Although I didn't take time carefully, this seems to be a reasonable number. The controller will not disconnect the intermediate playback session if you charge it every few days (via the mini USB cable provided).
 Like all iOS game controllers, not all applications support them. Steel Series does have a list on their website, but it does not run completely beyond top titles. Fortress, Limbo and GTA San Andreas all felt great. At the same time, using Stratus almost turned my iPhone into a portable console, while the impossible road became a new challenge, which was as difficult as using touch.
 The biggest elephant in the room is the price. Amazon is currently the cheapest choice. The white version is retailed at ￡ 48.44, which makes people face that it is not completely cheap. The technology and construction quality behind the equipment do not really think it should cost ￡ 50, which will certainly leave some disappointment.
 Finally, the steel series Stratus is a fully competent device that will be suitable for anyone who wants a portable iOS controller if you don't have a big hand. The list of supported games and minor problems with the device itself, such as the D pad and shoulder button, prevented it from becoming a perfect controller. If you urgently need an iOS controller, you may bear the cost, but anyone sitting on the fence may just decide that the touch control works normally, rather than 50 pounds.
