Zachtronics, a developer of educational games, is currently developing its swansong. It seems that the studio intends to shine. Last Call BBS is a game about playing cracking games on the retro computer console named Z5 Powerlance and discovering some strange gems in the process. This will also be the last game of the studio.
Similar to other Zachtronics games (such as Shenzen I/O and Exapunks), Last Call BBS presents itself as an interface for customizing the computer environment. In this case, it is Z5 Powerlance, a high-tech version of Sinclair ZX Spectrum or Apple IIe. The premise is that the bartender has loaded a series of cool puzzle games on this machine for you to try. Each game looks like a memory journey with Zachlikes as the theme.
Some games look like standard card replicas (although you can bet there will be a turning point). The other lets you install the conveyor belt with other industrial machines and program the control unit, while the other seems to produce organic meat for some creepy aliens in the universe. Then there is another one just about piecing together and drawing the model of Gundam.
