1. Wusuli River is a tributary of China's Heilongjiang River and the boundary river between China and Russia.
2. The upstream is formed by the confluence of Wula River and Daobi River.
3. Both rivers originate from the southwest slope of Sikhot Mountains and flow to Khabarovsk (Boli) in the northeast to meet Heilongjiang.
4. It is 909 kilometers (565 miles) long and has a drainage area of 187000 square kilometers (72200 square miles).
5. The river is wide and the flow is slow.
6. The main tributaries are Songacha River, Muling River, Naoli River, etc.
7. A long section of the main stream once caused the Sino Soviet border dispute (1969). In 1977, the two sides formulated the navigation rules in the Sino Soviet border waters.
8. Wusuli River has a freezing period of about 5 months.
9. It is navigable below the Wula estuary.
