 I have no intention of fighting for spring, but all the people are jealous. Scattered into mud and crushed into dust, only fragrance remains the same.
 Translation of Lu You's words:
 Outside the post pavilion, near the broken bridge, the flowers bloomed lonely, but nobody was in charge. When the sun goes down, I always feel lonely in my heart, especially when it's windy and rainy.
 I don't want to go to great lengths to fight for fragrance and spring. I just let flowers envy me. Scattered and withered debris turned into mud and ground into dust, only the fragrance remained the same.
 Lu You: 垍
 Lu You (1125-1210), a native of Shanyin (today's Shaoxing, Zhejiang), has the character of "Wuguan" and the name of "Fangweng". A great patriotic poet of the Southern Song Dynasty. He was born in an era when the feudal ruling class made concessions to foreign invading forces to seek peace. His patriotic ambition was not in use, and he retired to his hometown in his later years. In his poem "Singing of Plum Blossom", he showed a lonely and depressed tone.
