1. Nanjing Artillery Academy is an academy of the Chinese People's Liberation Army that trains junior command officers of artillery forces.
 2. Its predecessor was the East China Military Region Special Science School founded in Yishui County, Shandong Province in 1947.
 3. Later, it moved to Tangshan, Nanjing, and was changed to the Third Artillery Force School in December 1950.
 4. In 1956, it was renamed Nanjing Artillery School.
 5. On November 7, 1977, it was changed into the First Ground Artillery School.
 6. In June 1986, it changed its current name and was under the organizational system of the Arms Department of the General Staff.
 7. The college mainly trains professional grassroots cadres with bachelor's degree for artillery.
 8. The teaching facilities are relatively advanced, with various specialized rooms, laboratories, shooting preview fields, training fields, and weapon halls displaying various artillery.
 9. The college has been open to the outside world since 1957 and has received military delegations from more than 40 countries.
 10. Later, it was merged with Hefei Artillery Academy to form the PLA Artillery Academy, which was renamed the Nanjing Branch of the PLA Artillery Academy.
 11. Now it is the Nanjing Campus of the PLA Army Artillery Air Defense Academy.
