1. In 1997, the train collision accident at Rongjiawan Station of Beijing Guangzhou Railway (also known as Rongjiawan Incident) occurred at 10:48, Beijing time, on April 29, 1997. At that time, 324 passenger trains (Kunming Zhengzhou), which were undertaken by Zhengzhou Railway Bureau, were on the way to Rongjiawan Station of Beijing Guangzhou Railway, and 818 passenger trains (Changsha Chaling, which was undertaken by Guangzhou Railway Group), which stopped in 4 lanes of Rongjiawan Station Tail collision occurred, resulting in 126 deaths and 230 injuries.
 2. The accident was caused by the signal worker operating the diode sealing device in violation of regulations, which led to the wrong display of the signal machine. It was the most serious accident of China Railway since the accident of train falling off the bridge on Chengdu Kunming Railway in 1981.
