1. Sanye Temple, also known as Cunxiang Temple and Wubian Temple, is located in Sanye Town, Zhabao County, Shannan Prefecture, Tibet Autonomous Region, at the foot of Habu Mountain on the north bank of the Yarlung Zangbo River.
2. Sangye Temple was built in the Tubo Dynasty in the 8th century AD, and is the first monastery in Tibet where shaved monks became monks.
3. The buildings in the temple are arranged according to the Buddhist cosmology, and the central Buddhist temple has three styles of Tibetan, Han and Indian, so the Samye Temple is also called the Three Kinds Temple.
