In principle, the reissue of identity cards shall not exceed 30 days. The public security organ shall issue resident identity cards within 60 days from the date of application. In areas with inconvenient transportation, the processing time may be extended appropriately, but the extension time shall not exceed 30 days.
However, in actual operation, it may take more than 30 days due to the specific handling location, the quality of ID card photos, and the time for ID card production. The public security organ shall promptly apply for, change or reissue the resident identity card.
