It is not illegal to take only one day off every week. The state stipulates that the company should arrange employees to take at least one day off every week. It does not stipulate that there is a two-day weekend every Monday. However, the weekly working hours shall not exceed 44 hours.
[Legal Basis]
According to Article 36 of the Labor Law, the state implements a working hour system in which workers work no more than eight hours a day and no more than 44 hours a week on average.
Article 38 of the Labor Law: Employers shall ensure that workers have at least one day off per week.
