Summons by local police stations generally refer to public security summons. Public order subpoena is a measure taken by the public security organ during investigation. It mainly refers to the subpoena to understand the situation, and does not represent a suspected crime.
 The law has made requirements on the time of criminal summoning. Each summoning shall not last more than 12 hours. If the case is particularly serious and complicated, and detention or arrest measures need to be taken, the summoning shall not last more than 24 hours.

 Article 82 of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Administrative Penalties for Public Security stipulates that if it is necessary to summon a person who violates the administration of public security to accept an investigation, the person in charge of the case handling department of the public security organ shall, with the approval of the person in charge, use a summon card to summon him.
 The people's police may verbally summon a person found to have committed an act against the administration of public security on the spot upon producing his work certificate, but shall indicate it in the interrogation record.
 The public security organ shall inform the summoned person of the reason and basis for the summons. A person who refuses to accept a summons or evades a summons without justified reasons may be summoned compulsorily.
