After the divorce is mediated, an appeal can be made. If the husband and wife reach a settlement agreement, they can file a divorce lawsuit with the same reason within six months. The court will not accept the lawsuit. If they have objections to the property division, they can file a lawsuit.
 A conciliation statement is an agreement reached voluntarily by both parties under the auspices of the judges of the people's court. The effectiveness of the mediation statement is to be determined before both parties sign for confirmation.

 In Article 124 of the Civil Procedure Law of the People's Republic of China, the people's court shall handle the following lawsuits according to the circumstances:
 （7） Divorce cases in which divorce is not allowed in the judgment and reconciliation is achieved through mediation, and cases in which the adoption relationship is maintained through judgment and mediation, without new information and new reasons, and the plaintiff brings another lawsuit within six months, shall not be accepted.
