Male students who are under the age of 22 cannot register for marriage. China's law stipulates that the age of marriage shall not be earlier than 22 for men and 20 for women. The people's congresses in national autonomous areas have the right to formulate flexible provisions in the light of the specific circumstances of the marriage and family of the local ethnic groups. In case of ethnic minorities in national autonomous areas, they can look up relevant autonomy regulations.

 The age of marriage shall not be earlier than 22 for men and 20 for women.
 Article 1051 of the Civil Code of the People's Republic of China
 Marriage is invalid under any of the following circumstances:
 （1） Bigamy;
 （2） Having kinship prohibited from marriage;
 （3） Under the legal age of marriage.
