The Provisions on the Administration of Out of gauge Transport Vehicles Driving on Roads has been implemented since September 21, 2016. The total weight of six axle and above vehicle trains shall not exceed 49 tons, and the total weight of the vehicle and cargo shall not exceed 46 tons if the driving axle of the tractor is a single axle. At the same time, the length, width and height of the vehicle and cargo are also specified: the total height shall not exceed 4 meters from the ground, the total width of the vehicle and cargo shall not exceed 2.55 meters, and the total length of the vehicle and cargo shall not exceed 18.1 meters. Article 18 of the extended data "Provisions on the Administration of Over gauge Transport Vehicles Driving on Highways" stipulates that if the highway administration authority approves the application for over gauge transport on highways, it shall, according to the specific conditions of heavy cargo transport, specify the time, route and speed of driving on highways, and issue the Permit for Over gauge Transport Vehicles. Among them, the approval of trans provincial, autonomous regional and municipal transportation shall be issued by the provincial highway administration at the place of departure. The format of the Permit for Out of gauge Transport Vehicles shall be uniformly formulated by the Ministry of Transport and printed and managed by provincial highway management agencies. The applicant can get it at the permit window or print it through online self-service. Article 19 If the same large transport vehicle passes through a fixed route several times in a short period of time, with the same loading method and load items, and no reinforcement and transformation measures are required, the carrier can apply to the highway administration agency for a Permit for Over gauge Transport Vehicles with a driving period of no more than 6 months according to the transport plan. In case of any change in the transportation plan, the change procedures shall be handled according to the relevant provisions of the original licensing authority.
