Marriage Registration Ordinance
Article 2 The civil affairs department of the people's government at the county level or the township (town) people's government is the authority for mainland residents to handle marriage registration. The people's government of provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government may, in accordance with the principle of convenience, determine the specific authority for rural residents to handle marriage registration.
