Is there any requirement on how much cash you must carry when entering Japan through customs?
There is a ceiling on the amount of cash that Japan can enter the country through customs. It is not allowed to carry more than one million yen worth of cash. According to Japanese customs regulations, the declaration must be filled in when carrying more than 1 million yen of cash (or equivalent foreign currency). When Chinese citizens enter other countries, they will review the cash or traveler's cheques that they carry with them from non entry countries, and require passengers to declare truthfully. If they do not declare truthfully, the cash or cheques will be detained or confiscated because they affect the financial order of the country by deception. Do you understand that?
