Generally speaking, criminals sentenced to two years of fixed-term imprisonment cannot serve their sentences in detention centers. However, if a criminal sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of two years falls under the circumstance that the remaining term of his sentence is less than three months before he is handed over for execution of his sentence, he may serve his sentence in a detention house.
