The insured submits a written application for the transfer and continuation of the basic endowment insurance relationship to the social security agency in the new employment city. 3. After reviewing the transfer and continuation application, the social security agency in the new employment city will send a letter of acceptance to the social security agency in the place where the original basic endowment insurance relationship of the insured is located, and provide relevant information. 4. The social security agency in the place where the original basic endowment insurance relationship is located will handle the transfer and continuation procedures after receiving the letter of acceptance. 5. After receiving the basic endowment insurance relationship and funds transferred by the social security agency in the place where the original basic endowment insurance relationship of the insured is located, the agency in the new employment city will complete the relevant procedures and notify the insured of the confirmation in a timely manner.

 Article 5 of the Interim Measures for the Transfer and Continuation of the Basic Endowment Insurance Relationship of Employees of Urban Enterprises, the transfer and continuation of the basic endowment insurance relationship of the insured who are employed across provinces shall be handled in accordance with the following provisions: if the insured has not returned to the place of residence for employment and insurance, the social security agency of the new insured place shall handle the transfer and continuation procedures in a timely manner. However, for men over 50 years old and women over 40 years old, the basic old-age insurance relationship should be maintained in the original place of insurance, and a temporary basic old-age insurance payment account should be established in the new place of insurance to record all contributions of units and individuals. When the insured is employed across provinces again or meets the conditions for receiving benefits in the new insured place, all the principal and interest paid in the temporary basic endowment insurance payment account will be transferred and collected to the original insured place or treatment receiving place.
