For the custody of children in divorce, the husband and wife can negotiate first. If the negotiation fails, it can be handled according to the relevant laws and regulations. If the child is more than two years old, it depends on the situation. Generally, the child's will and the conditions of both parties will be combined to determine who the custody of the child belongs to. With regard to the issue of children's custody, if there are any circumstances specified in Article 16 of the Several Specific Opinions on the People's Court's Handling of Children's Custody in the Trial of Divorce Cases, the wife can claim to change the custody of children according to law. If one party requests to change the child support relationship under one of the following circumstances, it shall be supported.
 (1) The party who lives with the child is unable to continue to support the child due to serious illness or disability;
 (2) The party living together with the child does not fulfill the obligation to support or maltreats the child, or the living together with the child has adverse effects on the physical and mental health of the child;
 (3) A minor child over the age of 10 who is willing to live with the other party and who has the ability to support him or her;
 (4) There are other justifiable reasons for change.
