[Legal Opinion]
 The Marriage Registration Center of the Civil Affairs Bureau is a functional department of the government, which will handle divorce registration as long as it is in normal working days. At the same time, going to the Civil Affairs Bureau to apply for divorce is a divorce by agreement. Mainland residents who apply for divorce registration shall present the following certificates and supporting materials:
 （1） My household register and ID card
 （2） My marriage certificate;
 （3） A divorce agreement signed by both parties.
 （4） Photos of both parties
 The divorce agreement shall state the intention of both parties to divorce voluntarily and the consensus on matters such as child rearing, property and debt disposal.

 Provisional norms for marriage registration
 Article 49 When accepting an application for divorce registration, the marriage registrar shall proceed in accordance with the following procedures:
 （1） Examine the certificates and supporting materials specified in Article 48 of these Specifications
 （2） Explain to the parties the conditions of the Marriage Law on the registration of divorce
 （3） Ask the parties about their willingness to divorce and the content of the divorce agreement
 （4） If both parties are willing to divorce and agree on matters such as child rearing, property and debt handling, both parties shall fill in the Declaration of Application for Divorce Registration
 The signature in the column of "declarant" in the Declaration of Application for Divorce Registration must be completed by the declarant in front of the supervisor
 （5） Both husband and wife personally signed the divorce agreement and the marriage registrar acted as the supervisor of the oath. Both the husband and the wife have one copy of the agreement, and the marriage registration office has one copy on file.
