Conditions for registration of marriage:
1. Both the man and the woman who ask for marriage jointly apply at the marriage registration office with jurisdiction;
2. The male of the party concerned is over 22 years old and the female is over 20 years old;
3. Both parties have no spouse (unmarried, divorced, widowed);
4. Both parties have no direct blood relationship or collateral blood relationship within three generations;
5. Both parties are willing to marry.
Article 8 of the Marriage Law requires that both men and women who get married must go to the marriage registration office in person for marriage registration. Those who meet the provisions of this Law shall be registered and issued marriage certificates. When a marriage certificate is obtained, the relationship between husband and wife is established. If no marriage registration is handled, it shall be re registered.
