Product liability is tort liability. Product liability refers to a legal liability that should be compensated by the producer or seller separately or jointly according to law for personal injury or property loss of consumers, users or other third parties caused by defective products.
Legal basis
Article 1202 of the Civil Code of the People's Republic of China [Product Producer Liability] If the defect of a product causes damage to others, the producer shall bear the liability for infringement.
