Time required for divorce by agreement: the divorce by agreement is fast. If both parties reach a divorce agreement and go through the Civil Affairs Bureau to handle divorce registration, according to the new marriage registration law, they can handle it on the same day as long as the formalities are complete, and issue the Divorce Certificate. Time required to sue for divorce:
 1. The two parties have reached a divorce agreement, but if they go to the court to ask for divorce and dissolution of marriage through litigation, they will generally conclude the trial within three months, and the court will issue a divorce mediation statement or a divorce judgment as the evidence of divorce (the divorce judgment needs to be proved to be effective)
 2. If the other party does not agree to divorce, unless it meets the conditions specified in Article 32 of the Marriage Law, as long as the other party does not agree to divorce, the people's court will generally rule against both parties to divorce for the first lawsuit. After the judgment comes into effect (if both parties do not appeal, the judgment will become legally effective 15 days after the judgment is made.) Six months later, you can sue again.
