1. Article 61 of the Labor Law stipulates that female employees shall not be arranged to engage in labor with Grade III physical labor intensity as stipulated by the State during pregnancy or work that they should not engage in during pregnancy. Female employees who are pregnant for more than seven months may not be arranged to extend their working hours or work night shifts.
 2. The State Council's Provisions on Labor Protection of Female Employees: During the lactation period, female employees shall not be arranged by the unit to engage in labor with Grade III physical labor intensity as stipulated by the state or work that is forbidden to engage in lactation. They shall not extend their working hours, and generally shall not be arranged to engage in night shift work.
 Those who have difficulties in going to work can take half a year's breastfeeding leave with a salary of no less than 80% upon their own application and approval of the unit. Units with a large number of female employees shall, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the State, establish their own or joint health rooms for female employees, rest rooms for pregnant women, nursing rooms, nurseries and kindergartens under the management of specially assigned persons.
