According to Article 18 of the Opinions on Regulating the Management of Police Auxiliary Personnel of Public Security Organs, the salary of auxiliary police shall be higher than the local minimum wage. The public security organ of the people's government at or above the county level shall, within the scope of the budget, reasonably formulate the standards for the auxiliary police personnel and establish a dynamic adjustment mechanism in accordance with the local socio-economic development, with reference to the local standards such as the average wage of on-the-job employees in the previous year, the per capita disposable income of urban residents, and the basic endowment insurance payment base. The salary of the auxiliary police should correspond to the rank of the auxiliary police, and the salary standard of the auxiliary police working in high-risk posts should be compatible with the work they are engaged in.

 Legal basis
 Article 18 of the Opinions on Regulating the Management of Auxiliary Police Personnel of Public Security Organs shall not serve as auxiliary police personnel under any of the following circumstances: (1) those who have been subjected to criminal punishment or are suspected of breaking laws and crimes but have not been investigated; （2） Having been given administrative penalties for public security that restrict personal freedom, such as administrative detention, detention for reeducation, compulsory drug rehabilitation, etc., due to illegal acts;
