The relationship between an inherited child and a stepparent is not based on blood, but on the marital relationship of the parents. Therefore, the relationship between stepparents and stepchildren can be dissolved.

 Article 21 [Parents and Children] Parents have the obligation to support and educate their children. Children have the obligation to support and assist their parents.
 When parents fail to perform their duty of support, children who are minors or cannot live independently have the right to ask their parents to pay maintenance fees.
 When children fail to perform their duty of support, parents who are unable to work or have difficulties in living have the right to require their children to pay alimony.
 Drowning, abandoning and other acts of injuring or injuring infants are prohibited.
 Article 27 [Stepparents and stepchildren] No maltreatment or discrimination shall be allowed between stepparents and stepchildren.
 The relevant provisions of this Law on the relationship between parents and children shall apply to the rights and obligations between the stepfather or stepmother and the stepchildren who are supported and educated by them.
