The mediation period for damages is 30 days, and the public security organ may extend it for 15 days when it deems it necessary. In case of injury caused by a traffic accident, mediation shall begin from the date of the end of treatment or determination of disability; In case of death due to a traffic accident, mediation shall start from the date when the stipulated time for handling funeral matters ends; If the traffic accident only causes property losses, mediation shall start from the date when the losses are determined.
