Must Shanghai social security be paid for three years before you can apply for residence permit points?
The points of Shanghai residence permit must be paid by the employer for the social insurance of employees in the city for more than 6 consecutive months and still in the employer in the month of application. The specific points and integral standards for the base number of social insurance premiums paid by employees are as follows: 1. 25 points will be given if the base number of social insurance premiums paid by the holder in this city for 36 months accumulatively in the last four years is equal to or higher than 80% of the average social wages of employees in this city in the previous year. 2. 50 points will be given if the base number of social insurance premiums paid by the holder in this city for 36 months in the latest 4 years is equal to or higher than one time and lower than two times of the average social wages of the employees in this city in the previous year. 3. If the base number of social insurance premiums paid by the holder in this city for 36 months in the latest four years is equal to or higher than two times and lower than three times of the average social salary of the employees in this city in the previous year, 100 points will be accumulated. 4. If the base number of social insurance premiums paid by the holder in this city for 24 months accumulatively in the last three years is equal to three times the average social salary of the employees in this city in the previous year, 120 points will be accumulated. If the certificate holder makes up the payment due to failing to pay the social insurance premiums of the employees in the city normally, the social insurance payment base of the employees cannot reasonably correspond to the individual income tax payment base, and the social insurance payment unit of the employees is inconsistent with the unit signing the labor (employment) contract, it shall not be used as the integral basis for this item.
