Recognition criteria for major economic losses: extraordinary economic losses: economic losses greater than 1 million yuan; Major economic loss: economic loss is more than 100000 yuan but less than 1 million yuan; Large economic loss: accidents with economic loss more than 10000 yuan but less than 100000 yuan; General economic loss: accidents with economic loss less than 10000 yuan.
 The Standard for Prosecution explains that major economic losses are also called direct losses.

 Article 65 of the Provisions on the Prosecution Standards of Economic Crime Cases
 Infringement of trade secrets involving one of the following circumstances shall be prosecuted:
 1. Causing direct economic losses of more than 500000 yuan to the obligee of trade secrets;
 2. Causing the obligee to go bankrupt or causing other serious consequences.
 Article 7 of the Interpretation on Several Issues Concerning the Specific Application of Law in Handling Criminal Cases of Infringement of Intellectual Property Rights
 If one of the acts specified in Article 219 of the Criminal Law causes losses of more than 500000 yuan to the obligee of trade secrets, it is "causing heavy losses to the obligee", and shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years or criminal detention and shall also, or shall only, be fined for the crime of infringing trade secrets. If the loss caused to the obligee of trade secret is more than 2.5 million yuan, it belongs to "causing particularly serious consequences" as stipulated in Article 219 of the Criminal Law, and shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than three years but not more than seven years and shall also be fined for the crime of infringing trade secret.
