 According to the provisions of China's Population and Family Planning Law, couples who have obtained the Honor Certificate for the Parents of Only Child enjoy the rewards for the parents of only child in accordance with the relevant provisions of the state, provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government.
 If laws, regulations or rules stipulate that the measures for awarding couples who have obtained the Honor Certificate for Parents of Only Child should be implemented by their units, the relevant units should implement them.
 Legal basis
 Article 31 of the Population and Family Planning Law advocates that a couple who voluntarily give birth to only one child for life during the period when they have one child will be issued a Certificate of Honor for Parents of Only Child by the State. Couples who have obtained the Honor Certificate for Parents of Only Child shall enjoy the rewards for parents of only child in accordance with the relevant provisions of the state, provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government. Where laws, regulations or rules stipulate that the measures for awarding couples who have obtained the Honor Certificate for Parents of Only Child should be implemented by their units, the relevant units should implement them. During the period when the state advocates that a couple should have one child, if they should enjoy rewards and assistance for the elderly in family planning families according to regulations, they should continue to enjoy relevant rewards and assistance, and give necessary priority and care to the elderly in terms of welfare, elderly care services, etc.
 Article 32 of the Population and Family Planning Law of the People's Republic of China stipulates that couples who have obtained the Honor Certificate for the Parents of Only Children and whose only child has suffered accidental disability or death shall receive assistance in accordance with regulations. People's governments at or above the county level shall establish and improve a comprehensive support and security system for the above people in terms of life, pension, medical care, and spiritual comfort.
