It is illegal for a debt collection company to collect debts at home, and our country orders to prohibit the existence of such debt collection companies.
 However, it is possible to call for payment at home. As long as there is no extreme behavior, it is not illegal to call for payment normally.
 There are three illegal acts of door-to-door debt collection: illegal occupation of other people's houses, affecting the personal safety of the party concerned, and illegal detention of the party concerned for debt collection.
 Legal basis
 Article 40 of the Law on Administrative Penalties for Public Security commits one of the following acts, shall be detained for not less than 10 days but not more than 15 days, and shall also be fined not less than 500 yuan but not more than 1000 yuan; If the circumstances are relatively minor, he shall be detained for not less than five days but not more than 10 days, and shall also be fined not less than 200 yuan but not more than 500 yuan:
 （1） Organizing, coercing or inveigling persons under the age of 16 or disabled persons to perform in terror or cruelty;
 （2） Forcing others to work by violence, threat or other means;
 （3） Illegally restricting another person's freedom of person, illegally intruding into another person's house or illegally searching another person's body.
