    The compensation standard of Zhongtong Express is:

    1. In case of loss, damage or shortage of express mail, if the express mail is uninsured, the letter will be compensated by twice of this service fee, and the package will be compensated by the actual loss value, but the maximum compensation will not exceed 5 times of this service fee. Zhongtong Express will not be liable for other losses or indirect losses;

    2. For the insured express, the insurance fee shall be charged at 2% of the insured amount. If the express is lost, compensation shall be made according to the insured amount, and the maximum insured amount is RMB 10000 per ticket;

    3. If the express is lost, damaged or short, the service fee will be exempted;

    4. Zhongtong Company shall not be responsible for delays and damages caused by force majeure such as natural disasters, air disasters, wars, traffic accidents, government actions, etc.

    Legal basis

    Article 47 of the Postal Law of the People's Republic of China, postal enterprises shall make compensation for losses of vouchered postal materials in accordance with the following provisions: (1) If insured vouchered postal materials are lost or completely damaged, compensation shall be made according to the insured amount; In case of partial damage or shortage of contents, the actual loss of postal materials shall be compensated according to the ratio between the insured amount and the total value of postal materials. (2) If uninsured vouchered postal materials are lost, damaged or the contents are short, compensation shall be made on the basis of actual losses, but the maximum amount of compensation shall not exceed three times the rate charged; If a registered letter is lost or damaged, it shall be compensated at three times the rate charged. Postal enterprises shall clearly state the provisions of the preceding paragraph in the notices at their business places and on the vouchered mail receipts provided to users in a manner sufficient to draw users' attention. Postal enterprises that have caused losses to vouchered postal materials due to their intention or gross negligence, or failed to perform the obligations specified in the preceding paragraph, shall not have the right to invoke the provisions of the first paragraph of this Article to limit their liability for compensation.
