According to the provisions of relevant laws in China, if the husband and wife do not divorce, the wife's household registration can be moved back to her parents' home, but the head of household or herself needs to report to the household registration authority for change of registration.

Article 19 When a citizen's household registration changes due to marriage, divorce, adoption, claim, separation, merger, disappearance, recovery or other reasons, the head of the household or himself shall apply to the household registration authority for registration of change.
